Monkey Business

Green Vervet Monkeys

Green Vervet Monkeys

Vervet monkeys were introduced to St Kitts over 300 years ago.
The early sailors probably brought them in as pets.
Nowadays there are more monkeys than people and they are viewed as a pest by local farmers. Our visitors however love to see and photograph them.
Vervet Monkeys are more common in the north of the island but you will find them everywhere.
